The Heart Institute of East Texas is seeking a well-trained Electrophysiologist to join our practice who can perform complex ablations and implant Watchman device, in addition to general electrophysiological procedures and device implantation.

The Heart Institute of East Texas is located in beautiful Lufkin, Texas. The HIET has been the leading practice in Deep East Texas since 1982 and continues to bring state-of-the-art technology and services to the region. The Heart Institute of East Texas received a TMF Physician Practice Quality Improvement Gold Award for improving patient outcomes in high-priority clinical areas while applying innovative strategies to advance quality health care. The team from The Heart Institute of East Texas are among 32 health care providers in seven states and the territory of Puerto Rico to receive the Gold Level award for 2018 -2019 year.
Located in the heart of the Texas Forest Country, CHI St. Lukes Health System provides health care to a 15-county region. The primary service areas are Angelina and Polk Counties, while Cherokee, Houston, San Augustine, and Trinity counties make up the secondary market. The total population for the Systems service area is approximately 350,000.

The ideal candidate will be joining our group of 12 physicians that includes 2 Non-Invasive, 8 Interventional Cardiologist and 2 Electrophysiologists with over 36 board certifications in multiple specialties.
