Overview Opportunity: Task Force Chief Engineer This opportunity offers a talented leader the chance to showcase their experience across the HHM Hotels portfolio as a Task Force Chief Engineer. The leader will manage maintenance teams on property and provide short-term and long-term coverage as needed. This role requires working in a fast-paced, results-driven environment and adapting to various projects across full service, luxury, select service, extended-stay, and boutique properties, including industry-leading branded and independent hotels. Flexibility for extensive travel throughout HHM Hotels' portfolio is essential. Potential Career Path Area Chief Engineer – Regional Director of Engineering Essential Job Functions Interview, select, train, schedule, coach, and support associates, ensuring performance aligns with brand or hotel standards and HHM core values. Conduct room inspections and identify repair needs. Manage and coordinate bids, quotes, and contracts with third-party vendors. Oversee small projects or PIPS, managing and reporting progress. Install or repair drywall and other wall coverings. Paint designated areas and items. Install and replace basic electrical fixtures, switches, receptacles, bulbs, and fixtures. Install, replace, and program televisions. Perform minor plumbing functions. Replace and repair heating and cooling pumps; perform preventative maintenance on units. Troubleshoot and repair kitchen equipment. Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and complete work orders; keep accurate records of PMs on rooms and equipment. Maintain hotel grounds and exterior "curb appeal". Refurbish, paint, and finish furniture and fixtures as needed. Test, examine, and maintain hotel’s life safety systems to ensure 100% operational status. Maintain repair and preventive maintenance records and ensure compliance with service contracts. Perform work in accordance with local, state, and federal codes. Focus on guest satisfaction scores, working to improve departmental and overall guest satisfaction. Follow sustainability practices related to HHM’s EarthView program. Practice safe work habits, wear protective equipment, and adhere to MSDS and OSHA standards. Perform additional duties as assigned by management. Position Requirements 3 to 5 years of hospitality-related managerial experience. Previous Marriott or Hilton experience preferred. Ability to stay on-site for short-term or long-term coverage. High school diploma and/or trade school coursework in a related field preferred. Experience as an engineer/maintenance technician or equivalent training required. Certifications may be required. Work Environment and Context Work schedule varies; may include holidays, weekends, or alternate shifts. 100% travel throughout the United States is required. Physical requirements include standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
